PA / Secretary

We are currently recruiting for a PA / Secretary within Dungavel. The role primarily reports into the Centre Manager but involves providing administrative and secretarial support to the Centre Manager and Senior Managers within the Centre.

Key areas of accountability will include (but not be limited to):

  • Producing documents, correspondence, memos etc. that are often of a confidential and commercially sensitive nature to meet deadlines and to a high standard.
  • Provide effective diary management for managers, room bookings and making travel arrangements for Senior Managers.
  • Act as a minute taker in meetings as required, providing and distributing notes within twenty four hours of the meeting taking place.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Adviser as required and directed by the HR Adviser.


Applicants must have:

  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • The ability to prioritise and manage work to deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Robust experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role.

Security Clerk

The GEO Group UK Ltd is committed to delivering excellence in custody, care and control through the highest quality of detention and intervention services. A new role has arisen to join the Security team at Harmondsworth as Security Clerk, with specific responsibility for assisting the Security Department in clerical duties to manage intelligence and minimise any security risks within the establishment.
Key accountabilities will include:
 Collating security information and completing Person Escort Record forms for detainees leaving the establishment.
 Updating the Security Manager on any security matters within the Centre on a timely basis.
 Raising and maintaining staff awareness of security matters and exchange of security information in order to maintain a safe and secure environment.
 Assisting in the completion of appropriate documentation to enable accurate security assessments to be made.

Excellent organisational skills are essential, as are good ICT skills, a professional approach and attention to detail. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and able to work alone and as part of a team. Previous experience of working within a secure environment is desirable.
The Centre is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
