December 2010 – IRC Harmondsworth awarded British Safety Council 5 star certificate

At the first time of asking IRC Harmondsworth was awarded a British Safety Council 5 star certificate for health and safety. Harmondsworth scored a fantastic 96.7%, which is even so more impressive considering the Centre opened the new house blocks only 4 months earlier. Hopefully, later this year they will also join Campsfield House in achieving a Sword of Honour.

November 2010 - GEO achieves 75% in CAESER survey

GEO has achieved an impressive score of 75% in the Government’s annual Corporate Assessment of Environmental Social and Economic Responsibility (CAESER) survey. This clearly demonstrates GEO’s commitment to ensuring that all our activities are assessed against our CSR and environmental strategies. Those core values are embedded into how we operate the business. Further work will continue in this area to ensure that GEO improves upon the excellent foundation that has been laid.

October 2010 - GEO achieves Investors in Diversity Level 1

Working closely with the National Centre for Diversity, we are pleased to have successfully achieved Level 1 accreditation in October 2010 and are now working towards Level 2. The Investors in Diversity Award is not only a quality mark, it is an all-encompassing approach to managing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) effectively and enables organisations to take a structured and planned approach to embedding equality and diversity into everything they do.
