• Tony Galletly for his work on supporting lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and trans-gender detainees and staff.
• Sam Dengate for an outstanding act of bravery which saved a man's life.
Scott Purdy, Anna Clarke, Matt Brown, Mick Kambo and Nick Luton came second as team of the year for their work in ensuring Harmondsworth IRC remains a safe and secure place for detainees, staff and visitors.
Tony Galletly also won the prestigious Director's Award of the year.
Mick Harrop, GEO UK's Managing Director said "Over 4,000 people work for UKBA's detention and escorting services so I am absolutely delighted that the work of our talented staff has been recognised in this way.
